Olive Oil and Gastronomy Days
2023 Dates TBC – please enquire for further details
Join us for a day showcasing all things olive oil!
We are really excited to be working with our friends at Grano & Farina, to offer a new style of Gastronomic Experience here at Olive Hill!
Your day will begin with a guided tour of our organic olive grove: its history, why we chose to farm organically, how we look after the grove, and a chance to view harvest preparations, which will be well underway.
While we tour the grove, Chef Pino and Sfoglina Julia will be preparing a sit down meal to be served in our farmhouse or, weather permitting, in our lovely garden overlooking the grove.
Before lunch, we will lead you through an introduction to Extra Virgin Olive Oil: what it is, how it is made, how it should taste, and how to select it in the shops. We’ll also teach you how to recognise quality oil from its label. Then we’ll lead you through a tasting session. You’ll have a chance to taste a selection of oils, including our own. After the tasting, you will be able to put your new found skills to the test during lunch.
Maximum Group size: Ten, this day is suitable for guests aged 16 and over

Olive Harvest and Gastronomy Days
2023 Dates TBC during the month of October – please enquire for further details
Join us for a day harvesting olives in our organic olive grove!
A working day on our olive farm. Your morning will be spent with us in the grove, harvesting olives using hand held rakes. We literally comb the olives out of the trees onto nets that we have set out under our trees. Before our delicious lunch, we will select the olives that will be milled, load them into baskets, and bring them back up to the house, for onward transport to the mill.
After a busy morning in the grove, you’ll be hungry! Chef Pino and Sfoglina Julia will have spent their morning creating a delicious meal showcasing our olive oil: three delicious courses each major on olive oil – yes, even the dessert!
If time allows, we will show you the production process at our local olive mill, before you leave us with a souvenir bottle of our organic, extra virgin olive oil to remind you of your day.
Maximum Group size: Ten, this day is suitable for guests aged 16 and over
PLEASE NOTE! This is a WORKING DAY on a farm. We harvest by hand, on the side of a hill. Our farm is called Olive HILL for a reason! The work is sociable and pleasant, but it is physical labour, and not therefore NOT suitable for those with limited mobility or underlying health conditions. If you have any questions about the work involved, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Transport from our local train station at Stimigliano can be arranged on request.
